Avengers: Doomsday Shanghai Exhibit Reveals First Look at Doctor Doom’s Throne

Hanry DawsonBy Hanry DawsonJuly 10, 2026 Movie Reviews

Marvel Studios has given fans their first official look at a major set piece from the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday through a large promotional exhibit at the Shanghai Expo in China. The display includes a detailed physical recreation of Doctor Doom’s throne room, marking the first time the public has seen the design of the seat of power for Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom.

Photos from the under-construction booth, shared widely in early July 2026, show the throne prominently placed on a raised platform beneath a large Avengers logo. The Direct

    Details of Doctor Doom’s Throne

The throne features a pale, stone-like design with decorative elements and sits on a series of steps that raise it above ground level. Green stained-glass-style panels form the backdrop, with one section displaying Doctor Doom’s masked face. This is the first confirmed look at the throne that will appear in the film. ScreenRant

The physical version closely matches earlier leaked images that fans had questioned as possible AI fakes. The Shanghai exhibit has now verified that those images were accurate. ComicBookMovie

Other Set Pieces in the Exhibit

In addition to Doctor Doom’s throne room, the booth also features a recreation of the X-Mansion interior, including Professor X’s wheelchair and Magneto’s chair. Other banners reference key locations expected in the movie, such as the Baxter Building, Wakanda, and Avengers Headquarters. Cosmic Book News

These details suggest Avengers: Doomsday will be a large-scale crossover involving multiple Marvel teams and locations.

    Why This Reveal Is Significant

The Shanghai exhibit comes at an important time for the film. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, and is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The booth provides fans with a real-world preview of the movie’s production design well before the first full trailer is expected. SlashFilm

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was expected to attend the event as the booth opened to the public around July 11, 2026.

    Earlier Teases of Doctor Doom

This is not the first major reveal from Shanghai. In September 2025, a Disney Marketing Expo in the city featured a high-profile light show that showed an animated Doctor Doom seated on a throne. The new physical exhibit builds on that earlier moment by offering an actual set-accurate recreation. Outlook India

    Fan and Media Reaction

The reveal has created strong excitement among fans and media outlets, with many highlighting the detailed craftsmanship of the throne and the confirmation of previously leaked set designs. The display reinforces Doctor Doom’s position as a powerful and regal main antagonist in the film. Murphy’s Multiverse

Avengers: Doomsday is expected to bring together the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men in one of the biggest Marvel crossovers to date. For full details about the film, you can also check the Wikipedia page.
