New film offers an inside look at Liam and Noel Gallagher’s 2025 reunion tour

Oasis has released the first official teaser for their upcoming documentary Don’t Look Back in Anger. The film explores the band’s highly anticipated reunion and their record-breaking Live ’25 tour.

The teaser dropped on July 4, exactly one year after Oasis performed together for the first time in 16 years.

The Teaser That Got Fans Talking

The short trailer gives viewers an early taste of what to expect from the full documentary. It includes rehearsal footage of Liam and Noel Gallagher, along with powerful shots from the actual tour shows. Audio clips from the brothers’ first joint interviews in over two decades are also featured.

In one moment, Noel is heard saying he couldn’t picture himself performing with Liam again. Liam, on the other hand, reflects on how their previous split ended on unacceptable terms. The teaser cleverly contrasts their earlier doubts with the massive success the tour eventually became.

    What the Documentary Actually Covers

Don’t Look Back in Anger goes beyond typical concert footage. It aims to show the personal journey of the Gallagher brothers as they reconciled and returned to the stage. The film captures rehearsals, backstage moments, and the emotional process of rebuilding their relationship after years of public conflict.

NME described the project as a “landmark” documentary that tells the story of one of the biggest musical comebacks in recent years. It focuses on both the band’s performances and the human story behind the reunion.

Steven Knight’s Role in the Project

The documentary is created by Steven Knight, the acclaimed writer and director behind Peaky Blinders. It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who have previously made well-received music documentaries.

According to Consequence, Knight has emphasized that the film gives audiences rare access — not just to the shows, but also to the conversations between Liam and Noel as they addressed their long-standing issues for the first time in years.

The documentary is set to premiere in cinemas and IMAX screens worldwide on September 11, 2026. After its theatrical run, it will become available to stream on Disney+ internationally, and on both Hulu and Disney+ in the United States at a later date.

The decision to release the film in IMAX has been welcomed by fans, who are eager to experience the scale of Oasis’ live shows on the biggest screen possible.

Why This Film Matters to Fans

For many Oasis supporters, Don’t Look Back in Anger represents more than just a tour documentary. It captures a rare moment of reconciliation between two of rock’s most famous siblings and documents a tour that brought together multiple generations of fans.

Billboard noted that the teaser has already created significant buzz online, with fans sharing their excitement and memories from the Live ’25 shows.

As the September release date approaches, anticipation is expected to grow even further for what is being called one of the most important music documentaries of the year.
